Hi, my name is Mallory. I’m from Michigan and have been living in Korea for nearly a decade.
I’ve been holding space for over 15 years in varying roles as a clinical case manager, domestic violence counselor, support group facilitator, teacher, and intuitive tarot reader. In 2010, I completed my Master’s in Social Work and moved to Chicago, where I entered the child welfare and adoption field.
In 2013, feeling stuck and in need of a change, I moved across the world to Korea. Like other expats and immigrants, I struggled to adapt to this transition and experienced what some call a healing crisis. I began to cultivate a relationship with various healing practices, including tarot. In 2019, I launched a professional tarot business and noticed that my readings often transformed into therapeutic sessions.
Joining the Healing Together team marks a moment of profound joy as I return to long-term healing work with clients. My approach draws upon my experience with a diverse range of influences such as mindfulness, earth-based spirituality, plant medicine, tarot, astrology, and dreamwork.
CLINICAL APPROACH
My clinical approach is gentle, affirming, and honest. I believe we are each keepers of deeply transformative wisdom and medicine. As a clinician, my primary role is to listen, witness, and co-create a safe space in which to question and explore. My preferred frameworks include Internal Family Systems (parts work), Mindful Self-Compassion, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I strive to help clients live better, which may or may not always involve feeling better. This requires cultivating a willingness to be present with experience, expressing rather than suppressing difficult thoughts and emotions, and implementing lasting change rooted in core values.
As humans, we carry immense collective trauma and grief in our bodies in the wake of global climate change, late-stage capitalism, white supremacy, and colonialism. Many of us have experienced a rupture in our relationship to the earth and our sense of community and belonging. For immigrants and expats, these feelings can be magnified. I do not approach mental health from a strictly individual lens. I acknowledge the collective, ecological, sociopolitical, and spiritual dimensions of mental health and how they manifest in our lives.
I’m queer, sex-positive, and neurodivergent. I have experience and passion for working with LGBT+ folks, ADHD, alternative relationship styles (ie, polyamory), spiritual issues, childhood trauma, grief, and limerence. Through my work with other expats and immigrants in Korea, I have held space with individuals moving through major life transitions such as career changes, relocations, separation/divorce, and identity shifts. I also have a strong background working with adolescents and caregivers.
A therapy session is a ritual of exploration, connection, and care. Weaving tarot and/or other intuitive practices into sessions is an option for interested clients.

INTERESTS, HOBBIES, & FUN FACTS
I’m a writer, theatre-maker, and photographer. My favorite poet is Mary Oliver, who carried a notebook with her everywhere. I love taking courses and learning new skills, from the fiddle and watercolor techniques to supporting the immune system with plants. I live with two sweet cats and I have an ongoing love affair with the neighborhood ginkgo trees. I enjoy playing Dungeons & Dragons, swimming in the ocean, and that warm feeling after a shared meal when conversation and laughter continue to flow.
